Steven Landsburg talked about the role of economic freedom in driving innovation and growth. He described the impact of the Industrial Revolution on personal income, economic expectations, and poverty. He then explained and refuted two economic theories that favor helping those on the lowest end of income levels, arguing that the consequence of not allowing failure is impeded economic success. Following his presentation he answered audience members' questions.
